HISTORY

In 1973 Colimatic set up a manufacturing facility located in the picturesque town of Chiari,in Northern Italy one hour from Milan. Much of the initial manufacturing consisted of vertical and horizontal packaging machines for the medical and foodstuff industries. Incredibly, after more than 30 years of operation, the Colimatic Delta and Sigma models are still in use today!.
 

In 1984 Colimatic moved to a new 1.200 sq.m site, and began focusing on the design and production of vacuum packaging thermoforming machines for the meat and medical industry.

…The 1990’s saw the introduction of CAD-CAM systems to implement the mechanical and electrical project designs for the new flow-pack machine, OMEGA 800. Available with one or more vacuum chambers, this was recognised as a crucial breakthrough for the packaging industry.

Colimatic once again moved to an even larger site,, 3.000 sq.m,where the new thermoforming machines TECNORAMA 420 and THEMA 90 are manufactured to this day.

2000 At the start of the new millennium, Colimatic launched three new packaging thermoforming machines: THERA 450, THERA 650 and THERA 650FV. These are innovative, robust and highly technological thermoforming machines which allow Colimatic to consolidate its leading position in the international packaging market.

In 2003, to keep up with an increasing demand for machines overseas, the Colimatic USA facility was established.


Colimatic achieved a number of International Patented Functions including the VARIABLE SIZE MACHINE which allows the exchange of moulds in just a few seconds: the INTEGRAL CUTTING systems, able to cut any kind of thermoformed shape and the revolutionary GAS JET SYSTEM to prolong the product’s shelf-life

 

…Today thanks to the successful collaboration with our two sister companies Logipack and Alfa Service and to the imminent launch of our new THERA 250 (our latest creation) , the COLIMATIC GROUP is more than ever, determined to maintain its high quality standards.
